Up-to-Date Technology 
With Microsoft Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5, the PA400 offers an operating environment that is tried and tested, but still modern enough to support up-to-date features and apps. Users will be delighted to find the features they expect from the latest PDAs, such as an 8 megapixel digital camera, multi-touch 4.3 inch 480 x 800 pixel sunlight-readable screen, high speed WiFi, GPS, mobile internet and Bluetooth. The PA400 can also handle Microsoft Office documents. 
Tough and Dependable 
The PA400's rugged design is certified to IP68 for resistance to dustand water. Together with a huge operating temperature range of-30°C to 60°C, this makes it suitable for almost all environments. Other benefits of MIL-STD-810G testing include suitability for extremely high altitudes in excess of 12,000 meters. 
Compared to competing rugged PDAs, the PA400 is lightweight and compact, weighing only 400g and measuring 155 mm x 82 mm x 25mm. With its sturdy construction, the PA400 is certified to pass a 1.2M drop test. 
Extensive Connectivity 
Wide area wireless connectivity options include GSM, UMTS / HSPA+, GPRS and EDGE, for voice and mobile internet, making the PA400 a capable modern smartphone. Wired connectivity and expansion is provided by a USB socket and a MicroSD card slot which accepts cards up to 32GB. 
As well as the 8 megapixel camera, sensors include an optional 2D barcode reader, for reading barcodes, QR codes and similar data. There's also an electronic compass, G-sensor, GPS, and light and proximity sensors. 
Accessories include an external 3.3Ah battery pack, vehicle docking station, USB cable, power adapter with universal plugs, RS232 communication cable, USB host cable, and wrist strap.
